What Is CBD?

on September 09, 2019

CBD, also knows as Cannabidiol, has increased in popularity in the past few years. You make have seen edibles and a lot of other CBD based products being advertised and wondered what is it.

CBD oil is extracted from hemp which contains only a trace amount of THC.  CBD is different from Marijuana in that marijuana has a higher level of THC in it.  The level is usually around 3.5 - 5% and at this level can alter an individual's behavior and give him/her a high which has it classified as a drug.  CBD has only .3%  of THC in it which means it does not alter behavior, does not make you high, and is not classified as a drug.

CBD is a cannabinoid that is known to act as neurotransmitter, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory.  It binds to receptors in your body to signal your brain to balance the body's systems. In turn, it helps those suffering with autoimmune diseases, depression, anxiety, seizures, nausea, chronic pain, sleep apnea, workout recovery, skin disorders, ptsd, and many other health issues.

We recommend you research CBD prior to purchasing any products.  You may also want to see reviews and studies on the efficacy of CBD in the treatment of your specific health issue.
